Welcome to our sweet shop!

The Oldest Sweet Shop Online was founded in 2005 nearly 180 years after the shop first opened.  Our website is run on the same basic principle as the shop was then and is now; to provide a large range of the best quality sweets with a thorough, fast but warm friendly service to match. 

As you will see scrolling through our vast range of sweet delights, we have countless years experience in the sweet industry and provide not just sweets of a bygone age but a piece of living English history brought into the modern age.  

Our vast range caters for all sweet lovers' tastes from the humble Mint Humbug to the exotic Belgian Salt Liquorice.  From sweet heavenly American Cream Soda to the hideous Super Sour Fizzballs we have them all and more. 

When designing the website, we tried to keep in keeping with the shop.  Separating from the modern looking website with flashing graphics and complicated bells and whistles, we opted for a simple to use site with a few innovative ideas whilst still offering the visual charm and an 'oldy worldly' feel that can be found in our shop.  This is also to emphasize that we are not a virtual shop set in a factory on an industrial estate but a living piece of history.

Whilst the Internet is the method adopted for mail order we have always provided this service via people ordering whilst visiting the shop or telephoning through their request.  We would love for you to visit our shop but we appreciate that is not always practical and therefore the Internet is the method for fulfilling your confectionery requirements.  We look forward to hearing from you.
