Liquorice Root Sticks

Liquorice Root comes from the plant Glycyrrhiza glabra.  Liquorice juice is extracted from the root and is mainly used in sweets, medicine and drinks!

Historically one of the oldest known sweets.  The Romans would chew a stick as Roman legions considered licorice an indispensable ration for their long grueling campaigns.  Also found in the Egyptians tombs!
